Meltemi Invest and EGD Holding

in 2007 Spinnaker AS formed a daughter company, Meltemi Invest AS (MI). During 4th quarter 2007 the company did a private placement towards EGD Holding (EGD).

From 2008 MI took on a mandate from EGD to refine their strategy, refinance their balance sheet, divest non-core assets, joint new investments and asset management. 2008 - 2015 EGD/MI were involved in transactions and developments like: 

• Property: Hansagårdene AS, Lønningen Næringspark AS, Åsane Næringspark AS and expansion of Edvard Grieg Suitell.

• Shipping: Victory Tankers AS, Stream Tankers AS, Victory Bulkers AS, Christina Victory AS and Sofie Victory AS. 

During the periode Tom was either Chairman or Director in both new and previous investments.

 

2014-2015 EGD/MI sold some assets at healthy returns, and MI divested from most of the joint assets with EGD. Further, Tom decided to resign from the Board of Directors at EGD in May 2016.
