Star Bulk Carriers

 

In 2005 Tom become one of the founders and joined the Board of Directors of Star Bulk Maritime (Star Bulk Carriers).

The company was founded on the basis of a US SPAC (special acquisition company). Usd. 200 mill. Equity were collected in late 2005 and the first investments were executed late 2007 and the company became a dry bulk shipping company listed on Nasdaq.
Today, the company have approximately 75 vessels and are among the largest dry bulk companies listed in New York.
